The Florida Institute for Child Welfare advises stakeholder organizations about child welfare research evidence that is related to practice, training, and administrative processes to inform effective social policy. The Institute produces annual reports that provide recommendations for improving the state's child welfare system and technical reports on a range of topics addressing issues relevant to the child welfare community and stakeholders in Florida.

Youth in the system are very high risk of experiencing adverse outcomes, including teen pregnancy and early parenting.
