The child welfare workforce, agencies, and organizations often need support as they seek to enhance, expand, and develop services, practices, and policies. The Institute provides training and technical assistance to child welfare agencies and its workforce to support their efforts to improve the lives of children and families. The Institute has established a network of affiliates and resources that can assist these agencies and organizations as they conduct their important work.

The GROW Center is the umbrella under which all the Institute's professional advancement offerings are created and all management and administrative tasks, curriculum development, and coordination of activities is conducted. Professional development opportunities include webinars, interactive online courses, videos, conference workshops, and advanced certification courses. The Institute provides technical assistance through coaching and comprehensive organizational assessments to determine strengths and challenges. The Institute collaborates with the organization to co-create a plan to address a challenge identified through assessment and guides the organization through implementation activities.
